How to coordinate a move with roommates
Tell roommates the date, arrival window, truck size, number of helpers, and any building reservations well ahead of time. Ask about work calls, visitors, parking, shared hallways, and rooms that must remain clear.
Choose one route from curb to room and keep it open. Bring floor protection if needed, stage boxes in your bedroom rather than the living room, and remove trash promptly.
Send a closing note when the move is done. It is a small courtesy that tells the household the disruption is over and common space is theirs again.
