Cheap, fast dinners for a founder household
Build around repeatable bases: eggs, beans, rice, pasta, frozen vegetables, tortillas, rotisserie chicken, and good sauces. Keep a few meals that take under twenty minutes and use one pan or pot.
Buy staples together only if the household uses them. A shared grocery order can save time, but it is not worth a complicated ledger for every avocado.
Eat at a table when possible. A quick dinner can still be a pause in a long workday—and a way to notice when someone in the house needs help.
