How to host a house party without wrecking the place
Get every roommate’s agreement before inviting anyone. Set the date, end time, guest limit, rooms that stay private, noise plan, and who is responsible for cleanup. Check the lease and building rules too.
Keep the event contained. Protect fragile items, keep exterior doors controlled, provide trash and recycling, and make it easy for guests to find the bathroom. One host should stay sober enough to handle problems.
Clean that night or early the next day, then check for damage. A good party leaves the home as a home, not as a bill for the people who did not throw it.
