Traditions that make a house feel like home
The best traditions are easy to repeat: Sunday coffee, birthday cake, a seasonal potluck, a monthly movie, or a shared photo on move-in day. They need little money and no perfect attendance.
Make them inclusive. Avoid rituals built around alcohol, late nights, or a single cultural assumption unless everyone actively wants that. Ask what people enjoy and rotate the lead.
Let traditions change as the house changes. Their purpose is not to preserve a script; it is to give people a small way to belong.
