The house meeting format that actually works
Meet monthly or when a real issue arises. Share an agenda in advance: money, chores, guests, repairs, and one open topic. Give each item a time limit and end with a decision, owner, and due date.
Use “I” statements and one person speaking at a time. Do not turn the meeting into a trial of old grievances. Save personal disputes for a separate conversation.
Send a short written recap. A meeting works when people know what changes tomorrow.
