How to find a room with space to make things
Bring a tape measure or ask for dimensions. Plan the bed, desk, storage, worktable, drying area, and a safe path to the door. Check outlets, windows, light, and whether tools can be stored out of sight.
Tell the household what you make. Ask about noise, dust, smells, delivery boxes, shared sinks, and use of common space. Do not assume an extra corner is yours because it appears unused.
The right room supports the practice you actually have, not the studio you wish it were.
