Discuss guests, bedroom access, changing clothes, calls, shared spaces, cleaning, noise, and key control before move-in. Use specific rules: knock before entering, ask before borrowing, no unannounced overnight guests, and message before bringing visitors home.
Raise issues early and in writing when needed. A reasonable boundary does not require a debate or a detailed personal justification. If someone repeatedly ignores it, document the pattern and use the lease, household agreement, or a trusted mediator.
