Meeting a stranger to see a room: safety basics
Share the address, host name, and appointment time with a friend. Arrange your own transportation and meet during daylight when possible. Keep your phone charged and do not bring cash or sensitive documents to a first viewing.
Trust the basics: leave if the address changes suddenly, the person refuses to show the room, you are asked to enter an isolated location, or the interaction feels coercive. You do not owe anyone a tour or an explanation for leaving.
If you can, bring another person. A real host will understand.
