Housing near YC and the SF startup scene
YC batches are held in San Francisco, but housing should be chosen from the actual places you must reach: the batch program, co-founder meetings, transit, groceries, and a quiet place to work. Map those routes at the times you will use them.
Compare rent against total commute cost, late-night safety, and room quality. A home a little farther away with a direct ride and real sleep may outperform a central room with constant noise.
Tour the block and building before committing. The startup scene changes quickly; a good daily routine changes more slowly.
