How to co-work at home without co-depending

July 11, 2025

Try a brief morning plan and an optional end-of-day check-in. Agree on quiet focus blocks, shared breaks, or a weekly coffee walk. Keep goals personal and feedback invited, not imposed.

Do not monitor each other’s hours, work output, or mood. A roommate may be a useful presence, but they are not your manager, therapist, or productivity system.

The healthiest co-working arrangement makes both people more independent, not less.
