Managing focus when the living room is the office
Choose work hours that leave room for meals, guests, and relaxation. Keep a portable setup: laptop stand, headset, charger, notebook, and storage bin. Clear it at the end of each block.
Tell roommates about presentations or confidential calls, then use another location when the living room is needed. Avoid taking over the sofa, TV, or dining table all day.
The room stays workable when work has a visible beginning and end.
