Matching roommates by schedule, not just personality
Ask about wake-up time, sleep time, office days, remote work, travel, cooking, and regular visitors. These facts determine when the bathroom is busy, when calls happen, and who needs the kitchen at night.
You do not need the same schedule. You need a schedule that can coexist. A nurse on nights and a remote worker may work well with separate bedrooms and clear daytime noise rules; a shared bedroom makes the same pairing much harder.
Write down the fixed points—early shifts, recurring calls, and laundry days—before move-in. Personality helps, but the daily clock is what people actually live with.
