The compatibility questions that actually predict a good match
Ask what time people usually wake and sleep, how often they work from home, and how they handle guests. Ask how clean they keep a kitchen, how soon they wash dishes, and what happens when someone misses a chore.
Money deserves equal attention. Confirm rent due dates, utilities, shared purchases, and what each person would do if they needed to move out early. Ask whether they have lived with roommates before and what they learned.
Finally, ask how they prefer to raise a problem. The answer matters because every home has problems. A person who can say “let’s talk tonight” is often a better bet than someone who promises never to be difficult.
